(ENGLEWOOD, COLO.) "Many low income senior citizens and people with disabilities do not get appropriate medical care because they have difficulty accessing transportation. HealthSET's on-site clinics have improved the quality of life and support aging in place for many of DHA's residents by providing free, on-site health services. These services have filled a gap in service for our senior/disabled population at DHA and we are excited to continue our partnership with HealthSET," said Renee Nicolosi, director, resident and community services, Denver Housing Authority.
Added Cristen Bates, executive director, HealthSET: "Being able to provide care to Denver Housing Authority residents is an honor and privilege. The outstanding organizational capacity of the DHA is what allows us to do the work we do. DHA residents and the entire Denver community are fortunate to have such caring and capable advocates on their side."
HealthSET's mission is to extend the healing ministry of Christ by serving and empowering the low-income elderly in the Denver metro area through nursing, education and advocacy. It addresses the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of Denver's seniors to help them remain independent for as long as possible while preserving their quality of life.
