Adopt an Elder
Our Adopt an Elder program started because many of our clients receive no cards, gifts, or visits during the holiday season. We created the Adopt an Elder for the Holidays program in an effort to help our feel remembered and less isolated during the holidays. So we link them up with volunteers who bring gifts of joy and companionship, if even for an hour.

Several of our volunteers from the Adopt an Elder for the Holidays program liked the seniors whom they’d been matched with so much, they wanted to continue the relationship. Thus the Adopt an Elder Year-Round program was born. Adopt an Elder Year-Round Volunteers play scrabble, have lunch and have even taken their senior citizen to High Tea at the Brown Palace or to a Rockies game.
